Juneteenth Festival – Food Truck Vendor Guidelines
Vendor Interest Form & Approval Process
All prospective food truck vendors are required to complete a Vendor Interest Form for consideration. Submission of the form does not guarantee participation. Vendors will be reviewed and selected based on menu offerings, operational capacity, and overall alignment with the purpose and atmosphere of the Juneteenth Festival.
Only vendors who have been formally approved by the Recreation Department will be permitted to participate. Approved vendors will receive confirmation along with next steps, including payment instructions and event logistics.
The Township reserves the right to limit the number and type of food vendors to ensure a well-balanced event experience.

Participation & Setup
- Vendors will be assigned a designated space and must operate strictly within that space.
- Vendors must be fully self-contained and equipped for mobile food service operations.
- Vendors must adhere to all designated setup and breakdown times. Late arrivals and early departures are not permitted without prior approval.
- Food vendors must be fully set up and ready to operate at least one (1) hour prior to the event start time.
Licensing, Permits & Health Department Requirements
- Food vendors must be approved by the Burlington County Health Department prior to the event.
- Vendors are required to submit either a Mobile Retail Food Establishment Application or a Mobile Food Establishment Amendment to the Burlington County Health Department no later than ten (10) business days prior to the event.
- Vendors must provide proof of application submission to the Township no later than twenty (20) days prior to the event to confirm participation.
- Applications can be obtained through the Burlington County website: www.co.burlington.nj.us.
- Vendors are responsible for scheduling and completing all required inspections with the Burlington County Health Department.
Food Safety & Operational Compliance
- Vendors must comply with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Vendors must operate strictly within their approved menu and permitted food sources.
- The following will result in immediate removal from the event:
- Failure to obtain a provisionally approved application from the Burlington County Health Department
- Operating without required equipment
- Preparing or serving unsafe food
- Selling items not included in the pre-approved menu
- Using food from unapproved sources
Conduct & Vendor Expectations
- Vendors must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
- Disruptive behavior or unsafe operations are not permitted.
- Vendors may not interfere with event operations or other vendors.
Cleanliness & Waste Management
- Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly space throughout the event.
- All trash, grease, and waste must be properly contained and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
- Vendor spaces must be left in the same condition as they were received.
Safety Requirements
- All equipment must be properly maintained and safely operated.
- Fire extinguishers and required safety equipment must be present and accessible.
- Generators must be operated safely and in a manner that does not create hazards or excessive disruption.
Prohibited Activities
- No sale of alcohol unless explicitly authorized by the Township.
- No unauthorized sharing or subleasing of vendor space.
Attendance & Commitment
- Vendors must remain operational for the full duration of the event.
- Vendor spaces may not be transferred or reassigned without approval.
Enforcement
- The Township reserves the right to remove any vendor not in compliance with these guidelines or applicable regulations.
- Vendors found in violation may be required to leave the event immediately and may be deemed ineligible for future participation.

Merchandise Guidelines
- All items must be appropriate for a family-friendly, community event.
- The sale of illegal, counterfeit, or offensive items is strictly prohibited.
- Merchandise that reflects culture, creativity, and community pride is strongly encouraged in alignment with the spirit of Juneteenth.

- Disruptive behavior, including excessive noise or aggressive sales tactics, is not permitted.
- Vendors may not interfere with event operations or other vendors.

- Vendors are responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly space throughout the event.
- All trash and materials must be removed or properly disposed of at the conclusion of the event.
- Vendor spaces must be left in the same condition as they were received.

- No open flames, hazardous materials, or unsafe installations are permitted.
- Electrical access, if available, must be used safely and in accordance with event guidelines.

- No political campaigning or unauthorized solicitations.
